Flying Colours Team

What is Flying Colours?

The Flying Colours team is a group of  volunteered IG students and graduates who find that the web site is helpful in many ways in their lives and in the IGCSE community. The team’s main aim is to improve and develop the web site so that it fulfills the community’s needs with ease. Being a Flying Colours member is very beneficial as it helps you to reach self-fulfillment in many ways. It allows for language improvement and better use of IT, not to mention the social environment which encourages mingling and results in the gaining of extensive team working skills.

After spending 3 months as a member of the team you receive an ID card. And after a few more months of being an active team member you receive a letter of recognition. This all builds up skills and experience which will be definitely useful in the future. Although this is voluntary work, being a member is very helpful in many ways as it gives you a chance to facilitate the IG life for many others and become a member of the British Council's ever-growing loving family.

Our Aims and Goals:

  • Helping students to communicate with each other and with the British Council
  • Developing students’ team working skills, which will help in their future working lives, in line with the British Council’s goal of “creating opportunity for people worldwide”
  • Helping students to gain key skills through workshops and training courses.
  • Enhancing social activities, such as sports, general knowledge contests to counter the negative impressions given by some newspapers about students taking foreign qualifications
  • Each of the Students’ Association’s suggested committees will have agreed individual aims based on achieving mutual benefits between students and the British Council
